On Saturday August 1, 2015, Southminister Presbyterian Church held a Memorial to the Lost for victims of gun violence in 2014, sponsored by Heeding God’s Call Greater Washington, DC. Chapter.  It is a display of traveling T-shirts with the names of the 155 victims ranging from 3 to 73.  This is the second year the tribute has been circulated through the Washington area with T-shirts color coded by Maryland, Virginia and Washington.  Each shirt is more than just a name.  It’s a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, a grandfather and grandmother.  We invite community members to join us as we give a tribute and read each name at our Saturday program.  On Sunday, after the 10:30 AM worship, we will show the 30-minute film “Trigger”.  The display will be up from August 1 to August 15 for family and friends and survivors who want to remember their loved ones.
